Huawei’s Band 6 enters South African ‘smart wearables’ market

Huawei, a leading telecommunications brand, has announced the launch of its Band 6 for South African markets. The product is expected to be one of the latest members of the Huawei Band series. Reports suggest that the Huawei Band 6 would be available at the company’s retail stores in South Africa, while also being present in its online store.

As per credible sources, the product is priced at R1699 with pre-orders to start from June 11, 2021. It would be available in the South African markets from June 18, 2021 with two color variations, Sakura Pink and Graphite Black.

South Africans have always been worried about the premium prices of such devices, which is why the company has come forward to launch Huawei Band 6. According to the company officials, the product is incorporated with intrinsic features found in smartwatches, allowing access beyond just a smart band.

Some of these features include, all-day oxygen concentration monitoring, 2 weeks battery life, wrist smart companion, 1.47 inch FullView AMOLED display, also allowing the users to make use of a new lifestyle with active fitness management.

Speaking on the launch, General Manager of Huawei Consumer Business Group, Justin Sun mentioned that the band is duly quipped with health monitoring and fitness tracking functions, standing out as an ideal smart wearable for the users.

Justin further added that the company’s commitment to quality, innovation, and customer service has eventually made the brand #1 in the South African wearable market for over the years now.

It has been speculated that Huawei’s Band 6 not only leads the way in reshaping the conventional shape of smart bands, it also comes out to be one of the most versatile entry-level wearable products in the market currently.
